Admission Criteria

Master in Energy and Environmental Policy

Successful candidates for admission to the Master in Energy and Environmental Policy will have:

  • GPA above 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in an accredited Bachelor's degree
  • Combined GRE score above 1050 (math and verbal portions) is normally expected, with a 500 or higher score on the verbal portion preferred.
  • TOEFL scores above 550

Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Policy

  • GPA above 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) in an accredited Master's degree
  • Combined GRE score above 1050 (math and verbal portions) is normally expected, with a 500 or higher score on the verbal portion preferred.
  • TOEFL scores above 600
Application Materials

Complete applications for both the Master in Energy and Environmental Policy and Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Policy will include:

  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • 1,000-word Statement of the Applicant’s Research Interest
  • Academic transcript(s)
  • GRE scores
  • TOEFL scores (if applicable)
Application Deadlines

​Fall Admission:

  • March 1 - Priority Consideration for Admission
  • June 15 - Final Deadline to Apply

Spring Admission:

  • December 1 - Final Deadline to Apply, Limited Option
