Energy is all around us in super-abundant quantities. Man's need for energy on tap is also growing. All that is required is the enabling of natural energy into forms that man can use. Gram Oorja is that enabler. Our philosophy is to provide sustainable energy to rural communities through our paradigms and systems in a manner that will allow these to run for decades.

Gram Oorja Solutions Private Limited, http://www.gramoorja.in/, has worked in over 120 remote villages of India, providing electricity, drinking water and cooking fuel to tribal communities. A key feature of the work has been the sustainability of these projects, with local communities taking over the management, tariff collection duties, and ownership of these projects. Anshuman Lath, Director and co-founder of Gram Oorja, is an IIMB and IIT graduate with 17 years of experience working in rural electrification, SMEs, tribal education organizations, and investment banking. He shared the experiences of Gram Oorja with ENEP faculty and students in the first ENEP Talk Series session.
